Jacob Ogle, with the Yukon Masonic Lodge No. 90, presents a $1,000 check to Joanne Riley, director of Compassionate Hands. The money is part of a match to the money raised during the organization’s annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser. Joining Riley are Compassionate Hands board members Marsha Felton and Heather Murphy, as well as members of the Masonic Lodge. The dinner and raffle raised more that $1,300. The Masonic Lodge has been supporters of the Yukon nonprofit for several years. All donated dollars to Compassionate Hands stay in Yukon to help residents who are struggling to pay for rent, utilities, medicine and personal items. Compassionate Hands has an ongoing transportation program for Yukon’s senior citizens and residents with disabilities. Transportation is provided within a 30-mile radius to medical appointments, recreation, shopping and personal errands.
